Musk vs Zuckerberg: Get Ready for a Fight of our Solar system!

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, two of the most influential tech billionaires, have jokingly suggested they might settle their differences in a cage fight. Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of Twitter, first proposed the idea on Twitter. Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, responded on Instagram with a playful “Send Me Location.”

Musk, who stands at approximately 1.87 meters (6ft 1in) tall and weighs about 85kg (187lbs), further fueled the speculation by tweeting “Vegas Octagon,” hinting at the famous Las Vegas venue for Ultimate Fighting Championship matches. He also joked about his fighting strategy, which he named “The Walrus,” where he would simply lie on his opponent and do nothing.

On the other side, Zuckerberg, who is about 1.71 meters (5ft 7in) tall and weighs less than 70kg (154lbs), has a background that includes co-founding Facebook and serving as its CEO since 2004. Born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York, Zuckerberg is an American computer programmer who attended Phillips Exeter Academy before enrolling at Harvard University in 2002. He also has experience in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and has won medals in a tournament.

Whether this is a serious proposition or just a humorous exchange is unclear. A sports betting platform, Oddspedia, even calculated that Zuckerberg has an 83% chance of winning based on odds from various bookmakers.

The two billionaires have a history of disagreements, particularly over the future of artificial intelligence. Musk has expressed concerns about the potential dangers of AI, while Zuckerberg has a more optimistic outlook. Their rivalry also extends to their wealth, with Musk surpassing Zuckerberg in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index in 2020 and later becoming the world’s richest person.
